Last
Hope, Safe Haven, Inc. bridges the gap between the
shelter and the financially strained rescues across the
United States by providing the funding necessary to
extricate dogs facing euthanization. By donating to Last
Hope, Safe Haven your donation is doubled dollar for
dollar, as we do not ask for reimbursement of the
distributed funds, but rather that the participating
rescue utilize any adoption fees for a dog that they
receive with our assistance, to save yet ANOTHER life!
This is our "Pay It Forward" mission!

How
are we doing?
Figures
for our first year are now posted! The
following figures reflect funds raised and
numbers of dogs saved in our first year of
incorporation 9-27-07 thru 9-26-08. Total
Dogs Saved to date, including those saved before
incorporation is over 260, but 65 dogs saved in
our just over 2 months is a remarkable
achievement! And we've been keeping up the
pace! Thank you to each and every one
of you who helped us help these 260 dogs....as
well as all the assistance we've been able to
offer financially strained rescues for improved
kennel facilities and general expenses like dog
food. Through your donations we have
improved many many more lives, both canine and
human. We are so grateful for all that our
supporters have given, and continue to give.
Thank You!

Remember
Us In Your Will
A bequest from your estate
ensures that the love you have for animals will live on
after you pass.
Adopt
A Dog
Make Adoption Your First
Option! A simple solution to the national pet
overpopulation problem...yet effective. If we all
adopted just one, there would be very few to save.
And talk to others about adopting dogs instead of buying
them. Adopting instead of shopping will save thousands of
dogs from being euthanized in shelters every day. Sadly, a
dog is put down approximately every 9 seconds in the
United States.
Foster
A Dog
Tell your friends, co-workers,
people you meet at the vets, the grocery store
clerk....educate as many people as you can reach. We
are in desperate need of people experienced with GSDs to
provide temporary but loving foster homes. Please complete
our online Foster
Home Questionnaire. Currently foster homes in
Ohio are especially in short supply.
Spay
or Neuter Your Pets
Spaying those dogs not competing
in the show ring prevents more homeless dogs. Talk
about it with any friends or neighbors with un-altered
pets.
Teach
Your Children to Value All Living Creatures
Learning to
value life begins at an early age. Studies have shown that
teaching children how to stop the neglect and abuse of
animals through early humane education stays with them
into adulthood.
